Recipe for Fruit and Yogurt Overnight Oat Parfait

This recipe is for one large serving.

6oz any flavor of greek yogurt
1/3 cup certified old fashioned oats, uncooked
1 teaspoon chia seeds
2 Tablespoons milk
1 cup frozen mixed fruit and berries

In a bowl combine the yogurt, oats, chia seeds, and milk. Stir until the mixture is combined. In a wide-mouth mason jar or container pour in half of the yogurt and oat mixture. Add in half of the fruit and berries mixture into the jar or container. Next add another layer of the yogurt and oats. Top off the jar with the remaining fruit and berries. Refrigerate the jar overnight. This recipe can be in the refrigerator for up to three days. Enjoy cold.

You can use certified gluten-free old-fashioned oats if you are trying to avoid gluten. The chia seeds add extra fiber and help absorb some of the liquid. If you do not have chia seeds, omit the 2 tablespoons of milk in the recipe. You can use any type of milk in this recipe. Cows milk works well but you can also use almond, soy, or whatever milk beverage you enjoy.
