How to Prepare Nutritious and Tasty Croutons at Home


The Ingredients


  • Nutritious whole grain bread
  • Olive oil
  • The desired flavor (it can be garlic, parmesan cheese, herbs, and more).

The Tools

  • Oven
  • Cutting board
  • Cutting knife
  • Baking sheets

The Procedure


  • Start by preheating your oven at 350°F so it's ready for when you need it.
  • Then, cut your bread into small 1 inch squares (approximately).
  • Once your bread is all sliced up, place it nicely on a previously oiled baking sheet, leaving enough room for each square to cook properly.
  • Now, you just need to add the seasoning to your liking! Make sure that each bread cube has some of those flavorful extra ingredients.
  • Next, pop the baking sheets into the oven and let the bread bake in there for about 5 minutes or until they're a light brown/gold color.
  • To continue with this process, you'll have to turn each bread cube over so it can bake on the other side. Again, stick it in the oven for about 5 minutes.
  • Lastly, and after you've let the croutons cool, add them to your salads, soups or dips for a nutritious and tasty twist!
